They/Them Pronouns
Currently wandering around the pine forests of Raleigh, North Carolina, Madisen is looking for the joy in creating art and picking up dirt samples here and there. Their true joy in life is researching and finding out stories about pigments and talking to various pigment people around the world. Their art attempts to explore human’s relationship to their environment and how our stories weave us back into the land. They graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2020 amidst a global pandemic. They are currently apprenticing with Thomas Little of Rural Pen inks and turning guns into ink.
